Richard N. Atkinson Memorial Award

One of the goals of the JAVMA is to support veterinary education and the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM).

One of the ways we do this is by awarding a scholarship to a VMRCVM student from our region in honor of JAVMA founder, Dr. Dick Atkinson.

The 2012 recipient was Shannon Oliver, Class of 2012. JAVMA member, Dr. John Hayes is presenting the award to her in the photo below

The Richard N. Atkinson Memorial Award for 2009- 2010 was awarded to Erica Kirsch. In the photo below, Erica is receiving the award from Dr. Anne Zajac.
